well...sa had the open house today..and it was quite a blast..the music was loud..not too many ppl turned up tho..which was a disappointment...but it doesn't matter...cos the band was fun!! haha..and we had fun. i performed today, aft not playing for quite awhile..and i must say..i think today is one of my good days..my tone was surprisingly..not as bad as i had imagined it to be, and my sight-reading is still bad..haha...but only when it comes to the fast bits..performed merry widow (too fast!! but i played during the slow passage), minerva which wasn't that bad, saints go marching in (i know that piece inside out!) and glenn miller. haha...then the band busked by playinhg loud popular music, and i played percussion. was all fun. then in the tradition of sa open houses, there were pop/rock/whatchamacallit bands, and the soccer band was jawbreaking-ly hilarious. the music was not too bad..then the singing begins..let's just say it's highly entertaining but not too kind on the ears. so anyway..the band busked somemore, played copacabana and can't take my eyes off of u. deon went maaaaaaaddddd. and then lastly..the band played the lindy hop music for ppl to lindy hop too..it was, all in all, an eventful day. and for that short while..i forgot all abt my books..and reminisced the carefree post-exam jubilation. well..i soon will feel such post-exam jubilation..but till then..it's back to the books i go. toodles!
